Description Osada Tea: Naturally Grown Gokou Matcha Koiai The finest organic matcha made with leaves grown at an altitude of 300 – 500 meters in the Tenryu mountains, this matcha was ground by stone mill. Osada Tea has carefully grounded this matcha from a cultivar called “Gokou”. Made without using any pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Gokou cultivar: A cultivar that was specifically developed to suit the soil and climate of Kyoto prefecture. Very well-suited for shading, it is often made into gyokuro or matcha. Gokou is quite common to come across in Kyoto Prefecture, characteristic with its’ earthy aroma and deep umami.
